Do Rupp rod holders fit into my existing cutouts?

We offer three sizes of rod holders, each with a slightly different footprint. If you're replacing an existing Rupp rod holder, there's no issue — it'll be a direct fit. If you're not sure what you currently have, it might fit, but it's best to download our diagram and flange cutout template to check before ordering. Measure your cutout and give us a call to confirm fit before you order.

How are these different from less expensive rod holders?

It comes down to three things: the material, the finish, and the build quality. We use a heavy wall 316L marine-grade cast stainless instead of lower grade materials or stampings that pit and rust over time. The price difference is really the difference between buying once and buying every few years.

Do all of your rod holders have backing plates available?

Yes — even our screwless rod holders can be mounted with a backing plate, so you won't have to worry about it coming loose like with other brands. We offer two backing plate sizes, so be sure to order the right one for your rod holder, or give us a call if you have any questions.

Will your antenna mounts work with my antenna?

Yes, in most cases. Our antenna mounting systems work with the vast majority of marine VHF and electronic antennas on the market. Most use our 1.5" mounting collar, but we also offer a smaller 1.0" collar if your antenna calls for it. If you're not sure which size you need, give us a call and we'll help you confirm before you order.
